Via Mundo has just celebrated an agreement with Associação Beneficente Santa Clara that operates the project "Sonho de Aline". The institution will receive foreign volunteers through the Volunteer Program at Brasil of Via Mundo, which will contribute to the implementation of Project activities.
The Project reaches children and adolescents from 7 to 18 years living in São José de Ribamar city (Maranhão) who are at extreme risk of poverty, physical, mental, moral, spiritual and social conditions of freedom and dignity. This social action aims at the realization of the rights to life, health, food, education, sport, leisure, culture, professional training, family and community.
Throughout the year, various events are organized and offered several workshops such as: Informatics classes, Capoeira, Embroidery, School Support, Theater, Soccer, Arts, Psychological Support, Music, Ballet and Crafts.
Through this agreement, Via Mundo takes another step towards consolidating its plan of social responsibility, thus contributing to the creative and proactive intervention in relevant social issues to the local society.
